I'm having a continuing problem with CC. I cant seem to get it below .5. CYA at about 35 and I've been keeping FC at 14 or above for 2 days now. Still reading CC. Somebody always seems to want to blame biofilm but I am extremely skeptical of that. I've also read here that Chlorine kills biofilm so these high levels should have wiped that right out. It's not in the source water so where is it coming from?

Is your spa outside? You could try to leave the cover off & let the sun shine on for a it for a while as well - then test. I try to do this every few days especially if we haven’t used it much-

Just so we all get on the same page........do not try to rid your pool of a .5 ppm FC. It is the same as zero.
