Canadian fires / north east air pollution

Good morning all -
With some of the fires still raging on in Canada, a lot of folks in the northeast are feeling the heat as our air quality continues to get worse.

Does the air quality affect our water? Do we need to do anything special? We did have some rain yesterday but I poured in 1 cup of LC (total chlorine: approx 7-8FC).

Also, is the photo below pollen or is it the start of something? I will brush the walls but wanted to be proactive if it is indeed the start of something else.

Keep the FC on the hot side for a few fans and brush so the junk ends up in the filter.

That looks like a line of pollen on your liner. I have the same thing and I just brush it back into the pool.

Yup I think that’s pollen.
