Pool opened May 2022. These pictures are of the backside and then the front side of my sheer descent water fall. None of this white residue has been here until recently. I have been able to brush it off on the front side but it seems to reaccumulate and then now obviously it’s on the back.
Can you tell me what this is?

Looks like efflorescence. Moisture weeping through the stone from behind leaving the residual salt/scale behind. See below for more info.
