Hello,

We’ve been using a pool service that comes once a week. The pool guy used to charge extra for cleaning the filter twice a year. This time, I told him I would handle it myself.

I watched a YouTube video on how to clean the filter and noticed that our water filter is missing a part shown in the video. I asked ChatGPT, and it said it might be an air bleed filter screen, part number 59004600—but I haven’t been able to find that part online. As you know, ChatGPT sometimes gives incorrect information.

Could you please let me know what this part is, where I can get it, and whether it’s okay to run the filter without it? Our pool guy never mentioned that anything was missing or needed to be replaced.

our model # of filter is Pentair CCP320.
And the missing part is in the red circle in the attached picture.

Thank you.

Make sure it's not sitting in the top of the manifold if it's been removed. Check the bottom of the filter. If it's missing, Google "Pentair CCP320 air bleed assembly." It looks like Pentair only sells it as an assembly with the PVC pipe. You might be able to find an off-brand part.
