Can PH not change for over a month?

Guys,
Been running my Salt Water Pool a bit over a month now and did not have to add Muriatic Acid once yet, seems PH is stuck around 7.7 7.8 level for like 5 weeks now, is this possible? in past years I always had to add every week (probably 16oz or so although this is just an educated guess). My last tests show CYA around 70, TA 60, CH 380, , Salt around 3400, have a 29000 Gallon Pool. or has my test gone bad?

I have a TF test kit for years per this forums suggestion but reagents I keep replacing so not really sure.... to think of it when I opened the pool it seemed to have worked fine as I adjusted down from PH being high as every year at opening. I have a SWG so that is how it is chlorinating, and always was.

I would order new reagent first.

If pH is still low, with TA at 60, raise pH with 20 Mule Team Borax to 7.4.

Sorry that was a typo, the PH is not low, it shows ideal....... 7.7 7.8, got numbers mixed up. But for 5 weeks or so it didnt seem to change at all.

Answer to your question- Yes!

Nevermind a month. My Ph has hardly changed in 12 years - 7.4-7.7, 98% of time. I've added MA maybe 2-3 times in last 4 years. I don't use pucks and my TA has always been high at 120.

I think I'm an outlier. Larger point is pools often find their happy place, enjoy it (and your swg)!

I’m in a similar situation. Last year was my first year with the pool. Fibreglass. I had to add MA about every other week to bring the ph down. This year, I haven’t used a drop. My ph has been 7.2-7.4 every single time I tested it. I’m doing nothing different, and I’m not complaining because it’s great, but I’m just not sure why my ph isn’t rising.

My pH is always in the 7.4-7.6 range. Today I had to add MA for the first time in over a year bc there were several children doing cannonballs in the pool yesterday. I was thinking earlier about how I go through a gallon of MA about every 1-2 years and I buy the 1/2 strength stuff. My TA is 50.

It looks like you have found your pool’s happy place with ph/ta!
If you suspect you need new reagents get them (make sure you are using the correct phenol red for your comparator block)
but what you’re experiencing is not terribly abnormal with ta around 60 especially if you’re mostly filling the pool with rain water & not high ph/high ta tap water & your plaster is not new.
My pool’s ph literally never changes.
I think I adjusted it last in 2018 when I filled my pool.

Yeah mine sits between 7.6 (cover on) and 7.8 (cover off) I don't add MA either except open and close.
