Can I open without spa jets screwed in?

Hi All:
Well I am opening a little late this year. Due to a freakishly warm winter here in NY this year, I am expecting pretty dark water. I removed the pool return eyeballs, and the spa jets when I closed the pool last fall. I will put the eyeball back in the returns before I start the pump (to direct circulation). I was wondering if I can hold off on screwing in the spa jets until the water clears up and warms up a bit. I guess what I am asking is can I run the spa without the jets screw into place?

I too can't see why not.

Or you can just empty the spa using your IntelliCenter and install them that way..
