I have a couple of neverlube Jandy shut-off valves that have 2"/2.5" connections (2-port). Currently the connecting pipes connect to the inside of the valves (2"). If I remove these valves, can I re-use them by connecting the pipes on the outside instead (2.5")? Any downsides in doing that? Or should I bite the bullet and replace them? They are only 1 year old but I need to fix a Tee in that area and I was thinking that I might be able to re-use them as they still work just fine. Thanks!
