Good evening everyone,
I'm on my 3rd summer of pool ownership and have been lurking on these forums for a while. Thank you all!
Regrettably, I left my pool uncovered all winter.
Long story short, once the pool started clearing up, I noticed some buildup on the pool walls. It looks like calcium carbonate scale (I had very high ph). I'm emptying the pool to acid wash with muriatic acid, but I'm noticing the scale is a different color than others have described. It may be calcium silicate. Could you all help me confirm it's calcium carbonate scale and not calcium silicate scale? From other posts on here, I've heard calcium silicate is unlikely in vinyl pools.
Thank you all!
