Hey all - I couldn't find anything after a moderately careful search, so I'm asking: I have CH at the bottom of the ideal range and I plan to use Cal-Hypo to chlorinate and raise CH over the next few weeks. My CYA, at 50, is where I want it (more or less), but I can't get a definitive answer if there is any CYA in the Cal-Hypo. Has anyone ever found this to be the case?

thanks!

Definitive answer: there is no CYA in cal-hypo. This is always the case as cal-hypo reacts very energetically when it comes in to contact with the two stabilized forms of solid chlorine, so they will not be mixed.
