Buying a home with an in-ground pool

What is you current CH?

You can buy calcium chloride on Pool Stores, Hardware Stores, Walmart, etc… for pools it is sold as Calcium Increaser. You might even have some in you garage as it is also sold as Ice Melter. Just be careful with the Ice Melter stuff, not all brands sell pure calcium chloride.

Running the pool over night my CH is at 250. Says my ideal measurement should be higher.
On PoolMath go to settings and turn on CSI.
You need to have you CSI between -0.3 and 0.3 (the closer to 0 the better). Below -0.3 you may have corrosion to the plaster (and some metals). Above 0.3 and you may get calcium scaling. Increasing CH will increase you CSI.
