Our dig day was yesterday, the guys showed up at 8am and got started! They didn’t show today (boooo). But I live in a small town so it is to be expected.

28x40 plaster pool, including an 8x40 lounge pad. There will also be a spill over 8x8 spa on the long side opposite the lounge pad. All Jandy equipment, salt water too.

We live on our farm in arkansas so it will probably be too cold to swim when it’s done, but the spa will be used for sure!

oh and contract signed august 17th of this year.

You have a beautiful place. A perfect day for dig.
Good Luck and much success in this project.

Back at it again today. I offered to bring my cat 320D up here to let them use to dig the hole. They declined. It’s much bigger and they would be done by now, but oh well. 🤷🏼‍♂️7F4C0420-14D2-453E-91F5-1A924AE5F1CD.jpeg

They showed back up to work today while it was raining. Rained a total of an inch, yard looks like a slop yard now. Oh well, work is work.

The head man said they would be back tomorrow with ten men to do all of the metal work, then the pool should get gunite Monday. So they say at least.

they are moving fast. Good Luck. Remember they have to put some plumbing in (such as skimmer, drain and returns and light conduit, etc) before they gunite.

Once they lay the rebar - you may want to get your tape measure out to ensure all is per plan. Once they gunite, it is very difficult to make changes. Add about 6 inches on bottom for gunite thickness and about 8 inches per side for gunite thickness.

Gunite day was yesterday.

The shallow side has a set of steps also, normal height. The deep end has the exact same set of steps as the shallow end. That set doesn’t go to the bottom, it’s just to help get up onto the tanning ledge.
