Bug Problem

Hello All,
The past few weeks I've noticed that there are some new bugs showing up in the pool that I haven't seen before. The worst part is these bugs sting (or bite?) And they're all over in the pool. Here are my test results from today:
FC 11.5
pH 7.2
TA 40
CH 25
CYA 70
Salt 2800

I know my TA is a little bit low but I have stable pH so I haven't worried too much about it. Could this be allowing the bugs? Is there anything else I could try or is this just something I'll have to deal with?20180720_170105.jpg

Your chlorine is a little high for a salt pool, but that's not an issue for the bugs. Neither is the slightly low pH & TA (CH won't apply to vinyl). Bugs simply are attracted to water. It's one of those things we have to put-up with as pool owners. Whether they crawl in or fly in, the find a way. That's where my skimmer sock comes in so handy. I can't do much about the flying critters, but I use granules and sprays around the perimeter for the crawling ones.

This is sort of a side note- Skippy recently bought two Dynatraps at Costco and hung them as directed by the device. They need electricity so that plays in to the location too, but I have to say our uninvited "livestock" guests in the entire area to include the pool seems to be much improved!

When he opens the "cup" at the base every few days its got a good inch or more of bug carcasses.

You might consider if something like this might be useful?

Thanks for the replies!
I just ordered more skimmer socks yesterday. Quick question regarding skimming: I usually keep my solar cover on to keep the heat in, but that keeps the skimmer from working properly, is this just a matter of balancing time with the cover on and taking the cover off to skim?

I spaced on the bug zapper, I got one a while back and never put it up. I'll try that!

As for the Cl, my Intex SWG doesn't have a lot of adjustability, it either drops too low (3 hours) or rises a little high (4 hours), so I opted for a little high
