Brown staining from Abalone shells in gunite plaster pool

Help. We have an inground gunite plaster pool with extensive brown stains from Abalone shells mixed into the plaster. Our pool is only 1 year old and have been fighting this problem for months now.
Is there a way to remove the Abalone shell brown stains other then completely replastering the pool?

Take a look at the following threads with the same problem. We have a lot of posters who have had this problem and if you use the "search"bar above you can read then all. Might give you some ideas to help convince your builder of the problem.
