Broken capped pipe next to pool deck

Hi everyone,

Recently, my lawn guy accidentally broke a pipe cover of a capped pipe that is next to the pool deck. I believe this pipe was for drainage during pool dig. I've attached a picture of the damage for reference.

How big of an issue is this if water, dirt, and debris get into it? Any suggestions/tips on fixing it would be greatly appreciated.

It's a simple PVC pipe. Dig down 6", cut it straight, and cap it.

It might be a Suction Limiting Vent System.
