Hopefully the picture shows up ok. I have these Oklahoma boulders that line the back of the pool. One in particular is crumbling…should be easy to see from the picture, right in front. If you touch it or there’s a heavy rain, it just falls off, feels like gritty sand. Any stone whispered on the forum? Maybe just a thing that happens with natural stone? Is there any way to seal or prevent further erosion?

Thanks for the input,
Jim

I'm not stone expert, but we've come to learn not all stones were created equal. Some simply flake more than others. Do the others do the same thing, or is it just that one?
It’s just this one. Flagstone coping flakes off, but I think that’s pretty normal and expected. This larger rock is the only one that is crumbling.
