Bottom rail broke. Can this work?

Bottom rail broke somehow. Used pool. Intended to set up tomorrow. This piece broke. I wonder how bad it would be if I put a bad just past the paver. A piece of rebar to reinforce it. Pictures of it broken. Then “assembled” for pictures

It’s up. However I contacted the pool warehouse who sole the pool. They contacted the wilbar group ,manufacturer. They sent me a new piece. No questions. And fast. I also purchased from online website. So I have two now. Lol. Will have to return. I thought the one from manufacture would take forever. Pool still in construction though.
