So we just had our fiberglass pool installed last year. Last year I noticed some tiny black specks at the bottom of the pool. They go around the edge of the pool. Now I am seeing more. I tried rubbing a vitamin C tablet over it, it didn’t work. I used Metal Out, didn’t work. I tried a magic eraser, no go. Any other suggestions?

Looks like maybe a defect in the acrylic. Maybe a crack developing causing pitts. Can you feel anything?
If you can't feel anything like a crack or pit or slimy like black algae, I'm not sure what else it could be.
The way its so linear makes me think something got dropped into the pool and stained it. Perhaps fertilizer or something? Perhaps try a chlorine puck since the Vitamin C didn't do a thing.....
