Black coating inside skimmer. Possible issue?

Just saw this tonight after checking the skimmer for leaves. The weather has been hot, so the water is warm. Muggy airing the skimmer causing mold buildup on the surfaces? It’s all above the water line.

Clean it with some pool water and a magic eraser.
