Black algae in saltwater pool w Pebble Tec

~15k gal pool. Recent crash in FC led to what I assume is black algae "stains" in the Pebble Tec which brushing doesn't remove. FC now re-established at about 7 ppm.

Best procedure? Will elevated FC eventually erase it? What level of FC required? Any other chem additives or procedures? It's ugly.

I wouldn't worry about black algae until you rule out regular algae. Complete an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. My guess is that you will need to complete the SLAM Process.

You can confirm the presence of black algae by scraping some of it up with your fingernail and wiping it on a piece of white paper. If it smears green it is likely black algae.
