Beatbot (not Pro) Short term review

So second impressions. It cleans the pool. Unfortunately it has not been windy here and the Betta is doing an exceptional job of keeping stuff off the bottom. But whatever is there it cleans. The filter is fine enough where it is picking up sand.

The app does not notify you when it is done, and I was on a work call so it drifted to the bottom. Once you pull it out of the pool it gets very chatty. This message amused me. It told me to clean the filter, then yelled at me for taking the filter out.
I have an AquaSense Pro, and based on my experience, it can't send notifications underwater due to the lack of signal. Once the device is pulled out of the water, you'll receive status updates about the device. I suggest you check the push notifications to see what specific issue they are addressing, so you can quickly identify any problems with the device.

The notification that I am expecting is when it finishes its cleaning cycle and is parked at the edge of the pool and partially exposed. It should be able to send a WiFi signal from that position. It’s a big miss as far as I am concerned. I dont need it telling me to put the filter back in when I remove it for cleaning.

Would you recommend this one the S1? I have the S1 Pro now. It's only been a few days, but with all the wheelies and getting caught in the same area. I think it's going back.
Yikes… thanks for chiming in!

Overall, do you think it’s “worth it” or “wait?”

Worth it is a very big term. Do I like this robot, yes. It cleans the pool. It might even brush the pool more than other robots I have seen. It looks solidly built. The charging stand is a nice touch.

Do I think it’s worth $1000. Hard to say. That is really for individuals to decide. At less than $500 do I really like my S1, yes.

Make sure you do a "Factory Reset" (Hold all 3 buttons down for 10+ seconds) before putting in a DIFFERENT pool.... Once it maps a pool after a couple of runs, it uses that each time... If you don't reset it, its going to use the previous pool layout (Doesn't know you switched pools ) which might look nothing like what you have...
It took 3 runs for my aquasense to have the whole pool scanned and works like a charm now.
In 2 hours it cleans what would have taken my old corded unit 5 hrs as that was random, and this doesn't go back and forth over previous cleaned areas.

Just wanted to chime in on this as this is what I thought too (bold and underlined above), but I asked this about my Pro version and tech replied back that it has no memory and it's a clean slate each time??? Maybe the Non-Pro is different though.
Here is the actual quote from BeatBot tech: "The machine has no memory, and every clean is a new clean, and it will keep your pool clean"

However, I can attest that mine acts like it has no memory for sure lol!
