Basket housing cracked. How do I remove from the plumbing?

My Starite pump basket housing cracked. I removed the clamp that separates the wet end from the dry end. My challenge is how do I disconnect from the plumbing based on the pictures below? Will I be able to remove the nut from the output connection and then spin the input connection off?

I would cut the pipe and unscrew the fitting and then use the unions that go to the pump like they should have done from the start.

What is the pump model?

Is it under warranty?
