I have what I believe is a 1-1/4” barbed fitting for a backwash hose. I already own a 2” x 100’ backwash hose that I would like to use, but I’m not sure what can be done to prevent it from leaking. Can I cut the barbs off and use it like slip PVC, or do I need to add some tubing to another barbed fitting to increase the size for my hose? I would like to have a camlock connection for a quick and easy installation, but all the different fitting options are pretty overwhelming.
