So, we got back from vacation late last night. Couldn't really tell what the water looked like, but didn't look hateful. We had someone staying at the house and was doing basic maintenance.
Got up this morning and there was a lot of "dirt" in the pool. I heard we got quite a bit of rain while we were gone, so I didn't think anything of it. Put our pool robot in, brushed the walls. When I went to empty the basket on the pool robot, it was full ... of water! Whatever this "dirt" is, is so thick its covering the mesh screens of the basket to the point its holding water!
I then started looking around and noticed everything was covered in a fine layer of this black "dirt". No idea what it is, but its EVERYWHERE! Could this been from someone doing roof work nearby, or paving? My hubby thinks its ash that's traveled from Hawaii. I dont think that's a particularly crazy idea.
The "dirt" is on the floor of the pool, but also just floating in the water. We've back washed and will continue to run Little Geek, as he is the only thing that seems to be able to get this stuff out of the pool!
Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
