Back Fill?

When they leveled the ground to install my pool they had to dig down about six inches. Now when it rains I have a moat on the back side of my pool. What can I do to stop this from happening? Here is a picture of what it looks like. My pool is a Mission 27' round x 54" deep and the bottom rail is made of resin.

that moat should be backfilled.

I would back fill with sand.

Back fill with sand and top the sand with pebbles or pea gravel. Anything small and smooth that will keep the sand from washing away.
