High winds filled the pool with sticks and leaves. Can't see the bottom. Added shock and started it. The pump pressure started complaining. I dug around in the dark and pulled up a large amount of debris. Started again but same results as it filled the pump basket. Clean again but this time lI checked my CYA and it was 100.
OK Dokey.
I now put in a submersible pump and started draining the pool. I am not sure how much is "good enough" but will see how much has drained out tomorrow morning (and see if I can see the drain covers as well, the pump is rated at 500 GPH).
Do I just set the PH (7.2 is what I read) and then start the SLAM or add chlorine to the correct level first?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
