Thank you all for providing such deep insights to pool operations & decisions.
I have spent the better part of a week researching answers to many questions.

We have an 1987 built in ground concrete/gunite pool with a spa that overflows into it.
We lost the pool pump & heat pump due to flooding during Hurricane Milton.

Not wanting to fix simple problems with simple solutions, I set out to upgrade everything.
I now have TWO new variable speed pumps, each with its own cartridge filter, a propane heater for the spa, a brand new Easytouch PSL4 controller, a series of automated valves, with both bodies of waters tied to the suction and return headers to give me all the options for redundancy possible.
Not to mention a new concrete equipment pad, new load distribution center, and new light transformers.

Utilizing the screen logic, I have attempted to schedule the speeds and features and all that Easytouch has to offer.
It says I can double tap the RG-485 cable into the comm ports and address the components individually.
Through Pentair tech support, I learned that I cannot control more that 1 pump on the PLS4 system.
There is an Intelicenter upgrade option for $1,100.

Not to be cheap now, but I am looking for a work around that still provides options for 2 pump control with interface through a remote device.
I appreciate any feedback.
