I have a new pool and i'm trying to work out all of my pool equipment. I have a Jandy VS FloPro pump with its own timer built in. The electrician who set everything up also installed an external timer not realizing the pump had its own timer. My question is how do i get my SWG to turn on and off on its own. Right now when the pump shuts off the Jandy TruClear SWG reads "no flow" but i would rather have it work on a timer with the pump. I have to walk out each morning and evening and manually turn off the SWG. The pump does not have an AUX port (that i'm aware of) to connect the two together but i do have the external timer that isn't being used. Is this an easy fix to connect SWG to external timer or would the electrician have to come back and rewire things for me?

I'm not familiar with the connections of the Jandy FloPro, but if you see no way to incorporate the SWG directly to the pump power controls, I suspect you'll need to use that external timer and ensure it is on the same time of day as the pump. Set the SWG to only come on after the pump starts and go off slightly before the pump shuts down. In the chance one timer's clock is slightly different than the other, you might consider ensuring the pump run time slightly overlaps the SWG scheduled time. For example, pump set to start at 12:00, so SWG set to come on at 12:15: Pump set to shut off at 5:00, so SWG set to shut off at 4:45.
