Automatic pool cover

Hello everyone. I have few year old coverstar cover and found a crack that goes through right in the middle of the cover. I have no idea how it got there. Is this a big deal or I should not worry about it. Please see pictures.

Get some vinyl and glue and patch it.

Crazy question. Can I patch this from the under side so I don’t see ugly patch on the top ?

Sorry time has passed without any replies. Have you solved this by now? If not, I would say no, there's no way to patch the underside. You could use clear vinyl or contact Coverstar and ask them to send you a piece that matches your color.
