I have one if these automatic pumps, the name escapes me- but you guys and gals recognize it. Last year it wasn't so automatic. Sometimes it would be completely submerged in water. So today (second year), I had to move it a little to get it to start.
This is a 30' pool. Didn't I read that having the hose at the minimum length is optimal for this things performance? I had cut a hose for about 18' and can't find it, so now I'm using a 50' hose...its run is all down hill, but I thought I read that somewhere about this issue.
