After four years my Hayward T-15 stopped working. Saltwaterpoolstore offers a new replacement for the T-15 for $359 delivered with 5 year warranty! 5 years vs the 3 years Hayward offers....Sounds too good to be true and it was....The cell lasted 12 months, I sent it back after filling out their ridiculous warranty requirements. Two weeks later I have an email that my repair cost would be $269 based on their policy. which is...

After one year the repair/replacement cost is 30% of the MSRP! which is not the cost I paid $359, but the cost of a new Hayward! This company has nothing but complaints against it, they don't respond, they don't answer the phone and they don't honor their 5 year warranty. They are scammers!

I did find a company near me in the Tampa Bay area in Florida that sells remanufactured Hayward cells for 500 with a one year warranty. Time will tell.

You might want to just get a Hayward cell after losing $359 and then going to spend another $500 on top of that for a hope. Just spend the $899 that Hayward wants to wring out of you and you'll be good if you follow the TFP method of sanitation and adhere to holding your CSI between -.3 and 0.

Yea, I already purchased and installed the refurbished cell. A buddy who uses them gets 3 years out of them so I should be good for a while I hope...The reason I steered away from Hayward is local stores no longer have them and have the new replacement for the T cells. Hayward has a new line, cant think of the name, but the cell that replaces the T-15 is over a grand! Complete BS on Haywards part imo...
