Are these tree seeds?

Noticed today my pool was full of these tiny seed looking things. Is there anything to worry about? We have Oak Trees in back yard and neighbor has Pine Trees. It would be time consuming to keep scooping them out.

How long do trees drop seeds? Wondering if I should just wait it out or put my leaf cover back on.

Can’t wait for summer time!

I think somebody is throwing popcorn kernels in your pool!

They don't look like pine seed pods, but they're certainly some kind of seed. They appear to be round. Are they round or flat?

They are flat. Oak trees in our area are starting to bud leaves. Maybe it’s leaf buds.

Get yourself some disposable hairnets for your skimmer baskets, and you won’t really care about them. Clean up will be a breeze, and it will save on cleaning your filter.

It is. Many people use a weight of some sort to keep the net in place and skimmer basket from floating "up" when the pump is off.

If they're flat then they certainly could be from the Pine trees.

Eat a few of them and see if they taste good. If they do then they're pine nuts. OK just kidding, but Pine nuts are pretty tasty.

It is, just like Tex mentioned. Just make sure what ever size rock you use, that it’s larger then the pipe opening in the bottom of the skimmer. If you ever drop the rock into the skimmer, you don’t want it going down the pipe and getting lodged in your plumbing.
