I assume it’s for hooking up your vacuum ? Goes into skimmer? I have a robot but sometimes it needs a little help with leaves. Don’t know why but my oak tree dropping leaves since late July .

also does this work with standard vacuum hose or is it proprietary?
 
I used this one for about 6 years and love it.. came with the parts that hooked into the standard vacuum hose... My first one died after 4 years and I replaced it the same week.. It can grab tons of leaves and dirt and sand and bugs and you name it.. :)
