I need a quick check from you experts to see if any changes are recommended.

Vinyl liner:
FC 7
CC 0
CH 100
TA 60
CYA 50
pH 7.5

I put 2 boxes of borax in the pool in May, but I don't know what the ppm is. I just ordered borate test strips so until I get them, I won't have that number.

Everyone that sees the pool says it is the cleanest pool they have ever seen. It sparkles! This is the best it has ever looked. My contractor told his parents about TFP, and I believe they are going to join. Their pool has not been opened in several years. I guess they might be cleaning it up soon and opening it.

I don't add chlorine every day, but it has not had any algae. PH was higher than I liked for a while, but I think I have that in control.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any tweaks needed?

thanks,

Now if I could just stop the toads from jumping in my pool every night. I hate getting them out of the skimmer basket. I hate things that jump at me! Usually they are dead though.

the frog logs work well to keep them alive until you can get them out....we also put some nylon netting in front of the skimmer faces (just cut piece to size and use skimmer faceplate to hold in place...netting holds big enough to let any debris go through but frogs etc can't get sucked in...have had them in place for 3 years works great.

Thank you. I hate things that jump at me when I open the skimmer lid! I think they might be brown/gray toads because I have some that live in my flower pots. Regardless, I can put the netting in the skimmer.

Newest issue is some grayish black substance floating on the pool surface. Very fine. The skimmer hair net stops it from going into the plumbing and filter. Not sure if it is coming from the trees or the birds. We live lakefront, and between 50-60 Canadian geese think our yard and boat dock belong to them. We have been seeing fresh bird poop on our concrete pool deck every morning. I think it might be crows because geese and buzzards would leave a larger mess.

Sometimes I wish I lived in town. Found a 15" rattlesnake in my yard yesterday. I hate things that surprise me.
