Has anyone heard of these? They look to be fairly new. The design looks great to remove the top of the filter. Hold down 2 handle clamps and unscrew it. They claim it filters the same micron level as a DE filter. Looks like they only have 200 and 275 sq ft options but they say they can handle up to 35,000 gallons.

I have not heard of them.. I did a search and can not find anywhere to buy them... At 275 sq ft it is a medium size filter and I would only use if your pool is under 15k gallons.. I have a 320 sq ft on my 15k pool and only clean it once a year... The 275 might get away with 1 year cleaning... :)

I don't like new designs that may or may not take off. Did they really improve the moustrap that didnt need inproving ? In a few years you may not be able to find replacement parts if not.

What does your yard look like ? If you have a bunch of foliage dropping crud in the pool, you will overrun a smaller filter. This was 3 weeks of pollen season with 500 Sq ft and lots of trees. I moved to get away from the trees. I bought another 500 Sq ft-er for the new pool anyway.

I recently replaced my legacy heater and DE filter that came with the house, both easily over 15 years old. The AquaStar filter was highly recommended by the pool tech so I gave it a shot. I love it, especially compared to my old spiral DE filter. Way oversized for my pool so I am only planning on cleaning it once a year. Water quality has never been better, and way less maintenance for me

I installed the Aquastar filter a couple months ago and it’s great so far. I use a skimmer sock as well which catches a lot of the pollen. I plan on cleaning once a year which should take about 10 minutes tops. Pool is crystal clear and no more DE to mess with.

I am interested in knowing more about this new cartridge filter as well. If their marketing is anywhere close to accurate, it looks like a winner. I'm surprised there are scant independent reviews at this point.

I’ve had mine installed for over 6 months now and it’s great. I plan on cleaning it once a year and leaving it be. The lid comes off in about 30 seconds and back on just as quick. Probably 10-15 minutes to clean. Only has one large filter to clean instead of 4 and they aren’t a fortune to replace. Water is just as clear as it was with our DE filter. Very easy to install. I highly recommend it.
