Hey all,
I've been through quite a bit of reading material on this site. There is some great information, but everything I tried has failed to isolate the issue.
Symptom: Salt Level reads high (4,400ppm) [actual salt reading in pool is 3,400ppm]. Trying to calibrate using Instant Salt count fails (does not count back from 4,400).
Cell Current reads 0.00
Under normal operation, I get the correct lights (Power and Generating)
Switching to Super Chlorinate gives me the 3 proper light indicators.
It's a fairly new Logic Board (LB)- it's less than 2 years old - and I have two brand new T-Cell-9's (Hayward and Aftermarket) - both read high Salt level
I removed the LB and looked for any burnt solder joints - none to be found. Bummer - I was hoping for an easy fix.
Voltage Limiter looks fine (I've replaced it a couple times on the previous Logic Board).
Fuse (20A) tests fine.
LB = Hayward G1-0660120-1 Rev A
Salt 4400
Temp 81
Cell Voltage 30.9
Cell Current 0.00
Chlorine Output 50P
Instant Salt -4400
Product name A:-2
SW Rev r1.59
Cell Type T-9
Here's the kicker: The system seems to work OK. If I put it on Super Chlorinate, my Chlorine level increases overnight.
I can live with knowing my Salt Level reading is 900-1100ppm high, if everything is working fine. The Cell Current = 0.00 is troubling me.
I've tried Hayward Tech Support, but they can't help. My local pool store tech genius is understandably busy this time of year.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
