Hello! Looking for some help - my RS schedule only activates the salt cell when I schedule the ‘Filter Pump’. It does not activate when I use ‘pump’ or ‘cleaner’. I’m trying to run my VS pump at full speed (3450) for a couple hours to clean in the morning, then transition to normal filter pump operation (2750). Any ideas?

Pics of the current schedule, options I’m using for the cleaner selection, and VSP settings attached.

Thanks!!

Welcome to TFP.
In your speed set up the word Cleaner is a speed setting.
The schedule is designed to run a device such as Filter pump, light etc.
However to run a different speed for the Filter Pump, the Filter Pump has to be activated first.
So change the Filter Pump schedule to be from 6am to 5pm
Leave the Cleaner schedule as is. 6am to 9am
At 6am, the Filter Pump will turn on and it will prime first then move to the Cleaner speed.
At 9am, the pump will just reduce its speed to the POOL speed.

Note - the POOL speed should always be the lowest speed you wish the pump to run. Then schedule any other speed within the Filter Pump schedule So long as the other speeds are higher than the Pool speed, the pump will increase to whatever is set. In your set up, the Pool Heat (2250rpm) will never run at that speed because it is lower than 2750 (Pool speed).

Suggestion - change Pool speed to 2000rpm.

I have never run my VS pump at 3450rpm. I even set my prime speed at 3250rpm.
I am guessing that you could get by with some speed between 2500 and 3000rpm and do just fine for those 3 hrs in the morning.

Thanks a million for the reply! I starting at 2250 rpm set by the installer, but water from the spa’s spillway wasn’t flowing at that speed. I gradually increased it to 2750. Solar heat turns on throughout most of the day at drops to the lower rpm. I have 3450 rpm for cleaning to keep the vacuum head moving.

All of that said, my root problem is with the SWG not activating during any mode other than ‘filter pump’ on the RS. I’ll go with your recommendation of the overlapping schedules so the filter pump triggers the SWG and then drops back to the lower speed at 9 am.

Thanks again!
