My aqualink gets my indoor pool to temp and immediately turns off as soon as it reaches it. The second it decreases one degree it kicks it back on. This can easily be 10-15 minute cycle on/off times sometimes. Is this ok?

My ignorance goes to how other things like compressors cutting on and off all the time isn’t healthy and instead a little greater range in min/max thresholds would have that happen less, thus a bit less wear on the Hayward heater. Or am I nuts and this is completely fine?

Welcome to TFP.

What model heater do you have?

Gas heaters are fine to cycle like that.
