Aqua Logic Dimmer AQL_DIM

I have an Aqua Logic PS-8 that i would like to add a dimmer(AQL_DIM).There are 4 lugs on the original light switch and 4 on the dimmer.
The orig switch only had 2 wires on the first two connectors and works just fine,however when i installed the dimmer nothing happens at all.And yes i did change the setup to dimmer.
I suspect i need to run a neutral wire as well,but thought i would ask here first.Any help would be appreciated
