Hi Everyone,

Just want to say I have left my easy up pool up through the winter the last 2 years here in the mountains of Western N. Carolina. It has frozen, been covered with snow and gone through large fluctuations in temp with no problems. I stack three large truck inner tubes and lash them together to float in the middle of the pool. Then I place a large tarp over them and stake it down all around. Seems to work pretty well and will do it again this year.
know this is an old post but i wanted to know if your easy set pool faired over winter? i am in canada and we get very cold, snowy winters and i had to winterize my easy set (ring) pool as the ring is no good, held up with pool noodles in the remains of the ring. so couldnt take down as always as no ring, no pool rising. it was good till about the last month of our winter and instead of it coming to my shoulders height, it now comes up to my waist. so has stretched ALOT :( did this happen to you? will it rise back up normal as it thaws? or is it done?

I live in ontario canada so we get cold, icy, snowy winters. i have had an easy set pool for over 15 years (not same pool) and always take down as they arent meant for freezing temps. Last year I couldnt take down as the ring that allows the pool walls to rise when filling was totally filled with gashes and holes from not sure, sun deterioration and cheaper quality vinyl. so to keep it up last year to use i filled the ring with pool noodles to give enough boyency that the sides didnt collapse and let the water out. worked. but then i couldnt take down for winter, as again, it wont be able to rise when it fills. so i had to attempt winterizing.
I even bought a pool pillow which supposedly keeps the ice forming from pushing outwards to the side walls. put that is center and tarped the pool. all was well for most of the winter till the last month. instead of the pool coming to my shoulders height, it now comes up to my waist. so has stretched ALOT :(
anyone winterized this? did this happen? will it rise back up normal as it thaws? or is it done? i saw an old post that a guy did this for 2 years and no issues but thread too old to get in touch with him.
