Anyone Bought a Leisure Concepts Cover?

They sound awesome... and very expensive.

Anyone have any experience?

They look great, I could find no pricing however. My concern would be looks like you are locking yourself in to one of their tops permanently, looks like the cover and lifter are one item.

I have their Vanish XL lifter on the standard OEM cover that came with my Bullfrog A5L. The lifter has been excellent. We thought about going with the Smartop, but the upgrade cost was not insignificant over the standard cover through our dealer. So we held off and went with just their lifter mechanism.

I'm not yet convinced the additional cost of the Smartop cover over a traditional soft cover pays for itself. I'd love to know, though. Seems traditional covers only last a few years before the foam becomes waterlogged and loses its insulation value (as well as being heavy to lift and ultimately ending in up the landfill).

That said, one thing on the brochure that leaves me scratching my head:
"Automatic Snow and Ice Melt
Using heat transfer from the spa’s water, Smartop’s polymer panels automatically melt snow and ice off the Smartop ensuring your spa is easily accessible throughout the winter months."

Wow, that sure is some marketing spin for "leaks heat" ... 🤔

Yeah, right? I picked up on that too. They did say the insulation was "on par with with top-rated vinyl covers", but glaringly omitted an R-value number. 🤔, Indeed.
