Any suggestions how to fix this?

Hi everyone,

My jet valve recently got stuck and I’ve been trying to loosen it until The o ring separated from the vinyl causing it to leak outside (see picture). Does anyone have suggestion on how to fix this? I already drained the water until below the jet. Thank you so much for all your help!

The gasket shouldn't be adhered to the vinyl in the first place. You should be able to tighten the fitting up without leaking. Use some petroleum jelly or silicone on the gasket and also on the threads. It will make them easier to undo and should help with leaks.

Just silicone lubricant grease. Petroleum jelly is commonly found in the house though, therefore no trip to the store. Or, only the grocery store. It works just as well.

Hi so I tried doing that but it seemed like the fitting is too tight and misaligned. Any suggestions on how to loosen it? I tried putting lubricant but it didnt work so far.

I'm not sure how to answer this. It should just unscrew. Brute force?

Crossthreaded? That will make it leak.
