Alright folks, finally have all the other gremlins sorted in my 27k in ground. Has a vinyl liner, and is a salt pool. I finally found and fixed a suction side leak and I already see a massive difference. What I can't find, using dye, is a leak in the pool itself. I seem to lose ~1 inch per day. I figure it's not just evaporation because I also lose quite a bit of salt.

At this point I've hit the stage where I'm willing to give marlig fix a leak a shot. Before I do that and screw something else up, I'm hoping some of you guys might have some tips.

1) our deep end doesn't have a main drain, just a skimmer. It's about 8 feet deep. Presumably all this stuff is going to make it's way down there. Should I keep our suction robot running to try and keep it somewhat agitated?

2) I know I need to bypass the sand filter, but should I also put in a dummy pipe where the salt water generator is? I figure with the velocity the water is leaving the pump and the minimal contact time with the cell it likely isn't an issue but again curious if anyone has had issues.

3) I use a vs pump, and I've seen some folks saying turn the pool on for a few hours, then off to let this stuff settle into any potential holes. Thoughts on just running it at low speed to keep water moving a bit?

Thanks!
