Had the iAqualink installed last week and have noticed two peculiarities: After the “Freeze Protection” shuts off, the pump will run 2000 rpm even though at that time period the schedule calls for 2500 rpm. When the freeze protection is not activated the pump will run as scheduled. When the pump is running at the Pool Lo (2000 rpm) setting the SWG does not turn on. Any ideas? My installer is closed until after January 1 for the holidays, so that is why I have posted the question here.

What is your water temperature when your freeze protection kicks in? SWGs shutdown when water temperature gets down around 50F.

I seem to be having the same issue. The freeze protection was on last night and I noticed that the pump (only) was still running even though it is reading an air temperature of 54 degrees. This is 2 hours prior to the scheduled normal run time. I came here looking for possible answers but at least I know I'm not the only one. Anyone else? The iAqualink website is useless.

I talked with the installer yesterday and he said he and the owner of the pool company will contact Jandy after New Year’s Day. With you having a Jandy pump, you eliminated the fact of a Pentair pump doing its own thing after freeze protection.

It is doing this because that is the "pool" speed. "Pool" is the default speed. It only goes to the schedule when the scheduled times starts. Anything changes that happen after the schedule kicks in are not effected by the scheduled events until the next event comes up. Think of it as an alarm clock. It goes off at the set time and will continue to go off until you stop it. Then it will go off again the next day at that time.

Where is pool speed defined in set up? Is it what is labeled as Lo Pool? I changed Lo Pool from 2000 rpm to 2500 and now I am able to have enough skimmer flow for my water guru. I have 3 run times selected for each day and have notice the run speed will reset to the correct rpm at the next scheduled program.

It doesn't reset to the "correct" rpm per se, it simply runs what it is supposed to when it gets to that scheduled time. See below my VSP setup the name "Pool". This is my default speed setting.

FYI: I am not sure if it is the name "Pool" or just the position #1 that determines the default speed. I suspect it is position #1.

I was told by the technician that installed the iAqualink that there is a min rpm for the SWG to work. I believe he said 2500. Could that be the issue? Or was I fed some bologna? I will note that it did work after I changed the min speed.

Yes, there is a minimum. Usually you can find this through trial and error to see what closes the SWG pressure switch. Mine works down to 1000 (actually a bit lower) but I set my lowest at 1500.
