Hello from Arizona!
I've been lurking the site for a bit but it's too bad I didn't find out about this site a long time ago. I finally joined after getting tired of not being able to see full sized pictures that people posted.
A few years ago when we purchased our home, we started considering a pool. Our house has a decent sized back yard (huge for us but quickly shrinking). We stopped by two of the big pool companies and spoke to them for a bit. They took our info but never got back to us. We had other things come up so getting a pool got pushed to the back of our minds.
Like so many others, the last year and a half has been difficult for us; illnesses, deaths, and of course being stuck at home, schooling from home, and going crazy from "cabin fever". At the end of last year / early this year, getting a pool popped up into our minds again. Wow, what a (price) difference a couple years can make!
We started talking to pool builders in May and signed back in July. Originally we leaned towards a fiberglass pool (even drove by the place where I believe they are manufactured) but in the end we went with "concrete" pool. We were slated to begin excavation in August but the Monsoon had other ideas. Apparently this is our wettest Monsoon since 2016.
Thanks for reading! I hope to learn as much as possible from everyone here and of course enjoy the pictures posted.
