Am I overthinking my .5 CC level?

I've only been using this site and method for about a week. I've been testing my water daily since I got my new TF-100 test kit on Tuesday and find that my numbers vary quite a bit from day to day. Maybe that's normal or maybe it's because I need practice - not sure which. As an FYI, the pool is crystal clear.
When I did my very first test on Tuesday:
FC = 7
CC = 0.
CYA = 40
TA = 120

I've been adding stabilizer (sock method tied to a pool noodle) to bring my CYA level up since I have a SWG. Since you're supposed to run the pump continuously for a few days when adding the stabilizer I had turned my SWG down to 40% since my FC was already at 7. (If my pump runs, my SWG is on - I'm not sure I'm able to turn it off separately from the pump? It's an IC-15).

Yesterday (Thursday), my test showed:
FC = 3.5
CC = .5
CYA = 50-60
TA = 90
Not sure if the decrease in TA is due to my error in testing or if it's related to something else, but my first concern is the .5 CC level. I understand that's an acceptable level but that I don't want it to creep up. My question is - what happens to CC levels that are already formed in the pool? Do they just dissipate if the water chemistry is maintained properly? How do I prevent the number from rising? Last night, I set my pump back to "normal" - to run around 14 hours per day and increased the SWG to 60%.
I think I'm just looking for reassurance that I'm on the right track and that I need to have faith in my ability to rely on myself instead of Leslie's.

CC of 1 or less simply shows your chlorine is working and the CC is from normal sanitation.

The sun burns off CCs and they will not accumulate in the pool as long as it is not covered.

Your testing is fine.

Some variability day to day is to be expected.

The CC's will get eliminated by the sun. You may see it rise slightly due to rainy days or if you use a cover for too long, but the sun will remove them unless you have a big chemistry problem. No need to over-think it right now. Focus on your FC and maintaining a good pump run time and SWG output. Control the pH and don't over-think the TA either. It's fine.
