The only pool sand I can find in the area is at Menards made by All Star. I have a 3000 GPH Intex sand filter so wanted to see if this sand would be appropriate to use.
Correction - the All Star brand of sand has been known to be a bit finer and a subsidiary of Quikrete which we do NOT recommend. I'd pass and look for another brand.

So funny that I came across this one. I bought the All-Star brand mainly because it was the only one I could find in town at the time. I have been having issues with it passing sand to the pool and have come to the conclusion its because it's 20-40 and not just 20. It's not too annoying but if you can avoid it, I would. I plan to pick up some HTH from a local store soon and swap out.

I ended up getting Aquaquartz from a pool store. Was a little more money a bag than HTH but around me HTH would have taken two weeks for stores to restock and didn't want to wait
