33,000gal liner pool with deep end. Indiana. All my number are in recommended levels except alkalinity which is 200. I put a gallon of meradic acid in but it only lowers alkalinity about 20-30? Do I just need to keep adding more meradic acid?
TA will drop over time as you adjust pH weekly by adding acid. I can't see anything other than bleach additions in your logs. It would be helpful if you could post a complete set of test results. If you are having trouble keeping pH in range and/or your csi then you can reduce TA. Otherwise you can just let it drop slowly with normal pH control that usually requires acid weekly.
TA is the lease important thing to worry about. Pool stores will try to tell you it's the end of the world and sell you stuff to fix it. As @setsailsoon said, it will come down over time.
The thing high TA does is makes your pH go up a little quicker.
