Does dry stabilizer or Trichlor lower Alkalinity?

I got 60ppm Alkalinity 2 weeks in a row and this week I got 50ppm. I increased Stabilizer by using some Trichlor and adding dry stabilizer. I tested twice just to make sure I didn't make a mistake.

Trichlor is highly acidic and will lower pH and reduce TA. CYA is a much weaker acid than trichlor so it will not affect it as much.
Thank you very much. Do you know how much Trichlor affects Alkalinity? I didn't see it on Pool Math under the effects of adding.

Alkalinity is difficult to predict how much it will drop, but any time you lower the pH the alkalinity level will drop.
Thank you, that makes sense. I shouldn't have any more drops since the dry stabilizer and Trichlor are fully dissolved and I'm at my ideal levels for CYA. I just added a little baking soda to increase alkalinity back to about 60ppm.
