Algea??

My water is not looking as good as it could and I can see algae at the bottom of my pool. My FC has never gone down under 4 ppm and I have no CC showing up. What the heck? Do I still slam pool. I don’t get it, where I’m I going wrong? I decreased PH already to 7.6. I know my pool isn’t green but it’s not as clear as it could be. Help!

To be sure nothing is brewing on the algae front I'd highly recommend doing a proper OCLT. If the test proves no algae I'd keep the FC on the hot side for a good week. It may not be algae and could very well be pollen. Brush well and get it waterborne and into the filter it will be. Hopefully this will help.

Thanks I just did OCLT and my chlorine went from a 5.5 to a 5. Does this mean whatever algae is already dead? I still see it at the bottom of the pool. I feel like my numbers are all on point but there is something not right.

You're still missing one of the 3 criteria's, in your case still having even dead in the water. Keep slamming and brushing till it's all gone. If you can vac to the filter carefully without too much disturbance so you get it all out then you'll need to crack open the filter and clean the cartridges.
