Algae above water line : (

Hi everyone,

I have above ground pool in the Midwest. Algae is growing above my waterline, it’s a real pain. Chlorine level between 3 to 5 and PH at 7.2. Algaecide worked okay to prevent more growth but I missed a couple weeks of brushing and a ring above my water line appeared

Any suggestions how to remove ring and keep from coming back?

While you may see algae above the waterline, more than likely you have algae in the water as well. Algaecides will not kill algae. A full set of test results from a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C can confirm, but you should consider a SLAM Process and brush those areas as well until you pass all 3 SLAM criteria.
